• THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a full time Cadet Draftsperson to join our Adelaide team. This opportunity will put the successful applicant onto a succession plan to become a skilled Production Draftsperson with Simonds Homes. You'll be provided with on-the-job training and mentoring from some of the best Drafting professionals in the industry to support you on this journey.

Some responsibilities of a Cadet Draftsperson include but are not limited to :

• Assist the drafting team with preparing, completing and update drawings as per client requests
• Draft tender and contract drawings for appointments
• Support the drafting team with enquiries from customers. suppliers, planning authorities and internal departments.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of Simonds standards, products, services, and processes to complete work accurately and of a high standard
• WHO YOU ARE
• Formal qualifications in residential drafting (highly desirable)
• A drive to become a Production Draftsperson with residential building
• Capability in reading and producing working drawings
• Basic understanding of the residential home building and construction process
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD software and BCA / Planning and Design Code
• Good analytical skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills - able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, working well under pressure
• Exceptional communication skills who can work autonomously and within a team to achieve set targets and KPIs
• A high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks
