Delivery Support Officer

The Department of the Senate is seeking applications from those interested in joining the Black Rod's Office in the role of Delivery Support Officer.The Delivery Support Officer assists with the coordination and supervision of day-to-day activities of the Delivery Services team, including collecting and distributing mail, freight, and other items, as well as the collection and disposal of classified waste.

The role involves responding to requests from clients such as senators, staff, and departmental personnel.

The officer also supports administration tasks, work allocation, and liaises with service providers.This position may require assisting with work during Estimates hearings and committee room support, including setting up rooms and supporting hearings.

Additional hours may be necessary to meet delivery deadlines.The ideal candidate will be a cooperative team member, able to multi-skill, learn new tasks, and maintain a client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
