And… We’re hiring! We’re currently on the hunt for an experienced Strata Estimator / Strata Remedial Building Estimator, to join our team servicing Melbourne and surrounding Regions (VIC). In this role, you’ll assess domestic and commercial insurance claims and provide accurate reports, scope of work, estimates and completed tender packages.

A day in the life of BBS Estimator’ :

• Carry out site assessments to determine cause of damage and return accurate reports, scope of work and estimates
• Compiling & submitting tender packages in accordance with client requirements and coordinating all supplier quotations.
• Developing & communicating preliminary programs of works, reviewing, job files and documentation
• Maintaining service levels, assisting customer service staff, keeping customers informed, liaising with suppliers and connecting with new suppliers.
• Associated administration as required
• Be on call on rostered days to arrange and coordinate emergency works.

About you / Personal Attributions :

• Full and valid driving license
• Trade / Building related qualification in building & construction
• Strong understanding of the domestic and commercial industry and procedures – advantageous
• Transferable experience gained in a similar role in the insurance industry
• Be a driven person, highly organised and have strong attention to detail
• Be able to think clearly, independently and creatively under pressure
• Work collaboratively with a team within an office setting and out on site
• Great positive communication skills and ability to build relationships with strata, insurance companies, intermediaries, property managers and government departments

Please note : The successful candidate will be required need to provide a National Police Check Certificate & Working with Children Card.
