Responsibilities include project scoping, commercial negotiations across departments (engineering, legal, risk, contracts, compliance, project management), and working directly with tier 1 and tier 2 companies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Manage full project lifecycle from sales enquiry to execution and review.Engage stakeholders as the key contact for customers and coordinate with internal teams throughout the project.Communicate effectively at all stages, resolve issues, problem-solve, address risks, ensure compliance, and meet budget targets.Develop initial budgets by engaging relevant parties to create accurate pricing.Your CapabilitiesQualifications are less important than your experience in a commercial, client-facing role involving engineering or construction projects exceeding $50m.
Your commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
You should have a broad skill set developed over many years and successful project deliveries.
An understanding of risk, compliance, pricing, margins, negotiations, and contracts is necessary.
You must communicate clearly across technical and non-technical professionals.
Your ability to bring order from chaos, managing greenfield projects from inception to completion, is vital.
You should be well-presented, engaging, and adept at finding common ground in negotiations.
