Job descriptionAdvanced degree in life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MS) and / or prior experience as an MSL Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area, oncology preferred Understanding of statistical methods and clinical process Preferably familiar with local health-political laws and regulations, including the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct English : fluent level Preferably experience of interacting with HCPs on a peer-to-peer basis Preferably with life sciences / pharmaceutical industry experience in a matrix organisation Interpersonal skills with ability to create and sustain credible relationships with HCPs Ability to understand HCPs’ needs and to convey emergent scientific information Ability to work in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders, and in particular with Commercial, Marketing and Medical Affairs teams and with other in-field personnel Ability to communicate formally and informally with both clinical / scientific and administrative stakeholders in treatment centres and other healthcare organisations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to give lectures and training on medical science topics to groups of varying sizes Understanding of the hospital environment and healthcare system, as well as an understanding of clinical processes (e.g. trial design, study implementation) Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines Ability to design and moderate medical meetings to facilitate peer-to-peer discussions Ability to produce and deliver high quality PowerPoint presentations Have high ethical standards and recognised personal integrity and in-depth understanding of the applicable ethics and compliance industry standards Willing to travel with overnight stays
Your mission
Be referent for the medical department in the geographical area for which he is responsible, by creating relationships and interaction with local health professionals :
- Participate in identifying pertinent doctors / treatment centres with whom to be involved
- Develop relationships and scientific partnerships with opinion leaders and treatment centers with the goal of optimising patient care and developing clinical research. Organise peer-to-peer meetings between medical experts, in particular advisory boards, symposiums and post-conference meetings
- Provide scientific and medical information in response to requests from healthcare professionals and gather information intended for the medical department
- Support local publications and local scientific partnerships. Supervise and be the clinical trial liaison for clinical trials initiated by clinical doctors or university groups (interventional studies initiated by researchers - IIIS)
- Implement international and local regulations and company rules in respect to your position, especially pharmacovigilance,...
- Arrange, if necessary, training or scientific support for medical representatives or sales promotion officers locally
