Systems engineer Jobs in Australia

We're looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our client's team on an initial 6-month contract.

This business is going through an exciting time as they uplift cloud & infrastructure.This is a hands-on operational role within a hybrid infrastructure environment that spans both Azure cloud and some remaining on-prem services.

The environment is largely managed by a Managed Services Provider, they need someone who can drive vendor accountability, follow up on deliverables (e.g.

patching, backups), and ensure strong governance across the environment.On offer is a day rate between $800-900 and 3 days in Brisbane CBD office.

The Opportunity : This person will support day-to-day BAU cloud operations, compliance checks, and infrastructure governance.

They'll work closely with our internal teams and MSP to ensure things are actually getting done—not just logged as complete.

There's also an opportunity to get involved in some project work, especially as we try to bring more capability in-house rather than relying solely on vendors.Key Skills & Experience : Strong experience with Azure and legacy on-prem environmentsFamiliar with MSP / vendor-led environmentsComfortable following up with vendors to ensure deliverables are completedTech exposure to Citrix DaaS, VMware, M365Monitoring experience – e.g.
