About the position

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of After-Hours Coordinator to oversee the operations of Seymour Health outside of normal business hours which includes emergency management response.

The role of the After-Hours Coordinator is to successfully oversee the operations of Seymour Health by :

• Effectively managing nursing staff and other personnel to achieve safe, high quality service delivery across the organisation
• Clinical support as required in the Acute, Aged Care and Urgent Care settings
• Responding to, investigating and following up incident reports in a timely manner (clinical, OHS or other)
• Identifying mandatory reporting requirements as they arise (ensuring compliance with Aged Care, Occupational Health and Safety, Childsafe, and NDIS legislation)
• Managing clinical and non-clinical roster shortfalls across the organisation and ensuring compliance with the Safe Patient Care Act 2015.
• Managing emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner ensuring safety of all staff and consumers (acting as Chief Warden).
• Supporting an organisational culture that reflects Seymour Health’s organisational values and behaviours.
