Hours per fortnight : 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Prepare regular financial and management reports in relation to the financial performance and position of the Public Trustee and assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.
- Prepare the Public Trustee’s monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial reports in accordance with Government Business Guidelines.
- Completion of day-to-day operations associated with the financial and trust accounting systems of the Public Trustee including :
- balancing and reconciliation processes, and monitoring the daily cash flow of the organisation;
- ensuring the correct coding of transactions that have a direct impact on the Public Trustee’s revenue;
- implementing control systems including reconciliation of key TACT control accounts;
- processing of payments and receipts;
- Preparing business activity statements.
- Assist with supervising a small team of finance officers in the performance of their duties, in the absence of the Finance Manager.
- Provide analytical support in all aspects of financial management and investment functions.
- Maintain the Public Trustee Asset Register and Depreciation Schedule.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives by participating in team projects, assisting the Finance Manager and other team members as required.

Desirable Requirements
Relevant qualifications in business, accounting and / or commerce at Diploma or Advanced Diploma level or equivalent.
