Job description

Expression of Interest - Allied Health - Occupational Therapists & Psychologists

Take Your Allied Health Career Across Australia with Calvary’s Travel Workforce Program

Gain diverse experience in aged care and hospital settings while exploring new parts of the country—all supported by Calvary, one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit healthcare providers.

We are looking for a range of Allied Health Professionals to join our travel workforce team, including:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Speech Pathologists
  • Social Workers

This is your chance to grow your skills, support communities in need, and experience the diversity of our country.

We offer:

  • Travel and accommodation assistance
  • Living away from home allowances
  • Dedicated placement support
  • Flexible assignments tailored to your career goals

Why Choose the Calvary Travel Workforce?

Explore New Places: Work across urban, rural, and regional Australia. Whether it's coastal towns, vibrant cities, or remote communities—you'll make a difference wherever you go.

Elevate Your Allied Health Career: Build your clinical skills in new environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Each placement offers professional growth and the opportunity to broaden your expertise.

Supported Every Step of the Way: We remove the stress from working away from home with accommodation, allowances, and a supportive team to help you settle into each role.

Flexibility Meets Fulfilment: Choose assignments that match your lifestyle and passion for patient care while making a real impact.

About the role

Are you an Allied Health professional driven by compassion and a spirit of adventure? Calvary invites you to take your career on an exciting journey through our Travel Workforce Program. Imagine exploring Australia, gaining rich and varied experiences, and making a meaningful impact across our Aged Care and Hospital facilities —all while building your skills and career.

Locations and placement available across Australia, including:

  • ACT: Canberra
  • TAS: Hobart & Launceston
  • SA: Adelaide, surrounding regions & Riverland

About You

  • Relevant qualification and AHPRA registration (or professional accreditation)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Previous clinical experience in hospital environments
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home
  • Committed to person centred and values-based care

Why Calvary & Benefits

  • Not-for-profit organisation with over 130 years of care
  • One of Australia’s largest health, aged, and home care providers
  • Over 18,000 staff and volunteers
  • Salary packaging, paid parental leave, and flexible work options
  • Ongoing training, development, and career progression pathways

Calvary is proud to be recognised as a leader in gender equality. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a leading Catholic health care organisation.
