Working as part of the People and Culture team, this role provides Occupational Health Advisory support services to all levels of leadership and to our employees across Victoria.
Utilizing knowledge of health to develop and implement occupational health support programs with a focus on early intervention, job connection, and increasing engagement and participation.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist employees to work with their treating health professionals to develop documentation for the workplace that informs about their health condition and / or disability and how they may be best supported. Develop individual programs for employees as a part of case management.
- Work with stakeholders to address complex health-related issues that may otherwise restrict the ability of employees to optimally engage in their work. Utilize available data and research sources to design, promote, and implement quality health support and management programs that meet the needs of our employees across Victoria.
- Support people leaders during recruitment to consider provided health assessments, provided information, risk assessments, and coordinate associated workplace adjustment requests.
- Work to support People Leaders to ensure the occupational health support to their people meets operational considerations and needs.
- Triage support needs of employees and people leaders to appropriate resources both internal and external to the organization.
- Work collaboratively with the enabling functions of People and Culture and business areas to provide holistic support to employees, enhancing the productivity of the workforce, maximizing the ability of employees, and reducing the impact and cost of injuries and illness.
- Accountable for creating and capturing accurate and complete records of the business activities related to this position, in accordance with approved policy and procedures. This is applicable to both hardcopy and electronic information, including email.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures and any legislative requirements relevant to this position.
- Any other reasonable and related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
