As a Project Manager, you will add capacity and capability to the Project Acceleration team. The goal is to collaboratively create and execute initiatives to help improve productivity and eliminate schedule risk across specified work fronts.

We are looking for specialists in the use of tunnel boring machines and power station construction. We have 2-3 positions available.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager for Project Excellence, you will work closely with on-site internal resources and the main contractor to identify initiatives that can accelerate or de-risk the work, liaise with SME’s for further technical development and to quantify potential improvement that promise the most significant impact with buy-in from the main contractor.

Through developing strong relationships and collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, you will ensure initiatives are fully adopted where you can measure productivity improvements and celebrate success.

Key capabilities include :

• Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to interpret project plans, shift reports, and other relevant documents to provide actionable insights for improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and relate to individuals at various levels within the organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to recognise the need for and benefits of potential improvements.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify areas for enhancement and drive initiatives.

Tertiary qualified with further study in your specialist discipline being highly regarded. You will be able to point to a track record of productivity improvements in large infrastructure projects either in Australia or across the globe. Significant experience in the construction and commissioning phases is essential - civil, transport, hydro, energy.

This role is based in Cooma (Monday - Friday) with frequent trips to the construction sites at Lobs Hole, Tantangara and Marica.
