NAPACoopers Plains, QLD, AUQEII hospital (Brisbane) Advanced Gynaecology role Semester 2 2025
Queensland HealthCoopers Plains, QLD, AUOverview :
QEII is excited to offer a 6-month gynaecology advanced training positions for Semester 2, 2025.
This role offers an advanced trainee the opportunity to work in a dynamic tertiary gynaecology unit that provides a broad range of generalist and subspecialist gynaecology services. Exceptional surgical exposure, both in volume and complexity of cases, is a feature of the role.
QEII Jubilee Hospital, on Brisbane’s southside, is one of five major facilities within Metro South Health and one of Queensland’s busiest gynaecology services. The hospital serves a diverse community and is located in Coopers Plains, 12km from the Brisbane CBD.
Position description :
QEII hospital is seeking an advanced trainee (RANZCOG 5th or 6th year) for this full-time role, commencing 4th August 2025 until 1st Feb 2026.
Trainees at QEII rotate through different advanced gynaecology training roles, working in the fields of advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, urogynaecology and pelvic floor disorders, colposcopy, sexual and reproductive health and general gynaecology. There is flexibility to prioritise rotations in a particular interest area if desired. The successful candidates will participate in a 1 : 4 after hours remote on-call roster, which is typically valued by our trainees as excellent preparation for specialist practice after training. All trainees in the department are expected to participate in the departmental education program, medical student teaching, M&M meetings and audits, and are afforded ample non-clinical time to make the most of these opportunities.
Remuneration for this position will follow the Medical Officers' (Queensland Health) Certified Agreement (No. 6) 2022 (MOCA6) and will be determined based on your experience and level.
Who should apply?
The QEII Advanced Gynaecology role ideally suits a senior registrar completing RANZCOG’s Generalist O&G Training Pathway who is looking to further their gynaecology skills towards the end of their training or who may be interested in pursuing subspecialty urogynaecology or AGES training.
This 6 month role can contribute training time and significant clinical exposure numbers towards the following RANZCOG modules :
- Generalist gynaecology ATM
- Pelvic floor disorders SIM
- Colposcopy SIM
- Hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery SIM
RANZCOG trainees with outstanding ITP core training requirements and unaccredited registrars with suitable experience will also be considered for the role.
