About The Role

As a Case Worker, this is your opportunity to support community members to meet their goals through community partnerships and collaboration.

Reporting to the Regional Manager/Site Coordinator, this is a permanent full-time position, working across Sunbury, Sunshine and Brimbank Doorways sites.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Work collaboratively with Church leaders, Volunteers, and other co-located Mission Leaders to deliver an integrated approach to delivering Doorways at the local site.
• Build and maintain relationships within TSA and with local community stakeholders to identify local resources, community needs, and opportunities for collaboration.
• Assessment of community members’ specific needs, strengths and identification of interrelated issues and needs.
• Develop high quality case plans with community members to identify achievable goals using a strength-based approach.
• Use prevention and early intervention strategy and response to deliver support and services to people experiencing disadvantage and financial hardship.
• Provide effective response to people experiencing longer term disadvantage and generational poverty.
• Support community members to build and increase capacity and develop independent living skills towards self determination.

What You Will Bring

• Degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or other Community/Human Services discipline is highly desirable, or a Diploma and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the community services sector would be considered.
• A current VIC Working with Children’s Check.

Compensation is in accordance with Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 4.
