Disposal Support And Plant Operator - Magnetic Island

9 day fortnight

About Our Client

The Townsville City Council are seeking a Plant Operator to join their Waste Management Team on a 3 month assignment with the potential of a permanent position

What You Will Be Doing

As Disposal Support and Plant Operator, you will have the following duties :

Conduct litter management at landfills and transfer stations.

Supervise transfer station and recycling processes.

Undertake manual handling duties

Maintain hazardous waste collection sheds

Operate landfill machinery and associated equipment

Reject materials outside approved acceptance criteria.

Determine correct tip charges for waste disposal.

Demonstrate a commitment to a high standard of customer service

Exercise responsibility for Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, EEO, Anti-discrimination, and privacy obligations.

Operate weighbridges and associated technology to record transaction details accurately.

What You Will Need

Ability to pass a Police Check

Telehandler Ticket (preferred)

Front End Loader Ticket (LL)

Compactor Ticket (LR)

White Card

Current QLD HR Licence

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test

Desirable

Grader Ticket (LG)

Excavator Ticket (LE)

Dozer Ticket (LZ)

Backhoe Ticket
