You’ll lead and support the Production Leading Hands and Production Team Members, while managing labour, productivity, quality and operational performance.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll work closely with the Production Manager and wider production team to ensure the packing operation meets business requirements and continuously improves.

Quality & Compliance: Ensure packing activities meet required quality standards, hygiene requirements, biosecurity practices and company procedures.

Safety & Wellbeing: Champion a strong safety culture, conduct regular safety walks, identify and address hazards, and support initiatives that promote the health, safety and wellbeing of Team Members.

Performance Management: Monitor team performance against KPIs, provide regular feedback and support, and address performance or conduct matters when required.

Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate production and packing records, monitor operational data and systems, and provide regular reporting on labour, productivity and performance.

Continuous Improvement: Use production data and team insights to identify efficiencies, cost savings and process improvements, and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Training & Development: Manage training schedules, support onboarding and development, and ensure Team Members have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles safely and effectively.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Experience in production, packing, FMCG, manufacturing, agriculture or another fast-paced operational environment.

Previous experience in team management, supervision or frontline leadership.

Proven ability to coach, train and develop team members in a hands‑on workplace.

Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and operational requirements.

Strong understanding of productivity, labour management and achieving operational KPIs.

Ability to interpret and use operational data to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Strong problem‑solving skills, sound judgement and a solutions‑focused approach.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilise operational systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a diverse workforce.

Strong focus on quality, safety and customer requirements.

Energetic, highly motivated and results‑oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
