About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Building Validator that will effectively manage the validation of building claims, including indemnity, the scope of works and repair costs. You'll also ensure all contractors comply with the company’s technical, service and compliance standards and relationship management of contractors, internal clients & Insurers.
We are ideally looking for people with an insurance background, however it is not essential.
About You
The role will suit candidates who can demonstrate the following :
- Minimum 5 years related work experience
- Domestic and commercial buildings scoping background
- Master Builders License or similar preferred
- Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic and commercial properties
- Produce good quality reports
- Management of builders and contractors work in progress and performance via an online repair system
- Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
- IT and technologically competent
- Proven technical competency and structured report writing
- Validation of building claims, including indemnity, the scope of works and repair costs
- Work within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and following policy liability
- Compile detailed and accurate scope of work or building repair schedule when required
- Produce high quality and accurate written reports
- Handle policy holders’ queries and concerns during the course of a claim when required
- Accountable for the recommended settlement outcome / value
- Loss adjusting – property, major and complex loss, catastrophe response
- Third party administration (Crawford TPA is a Lloyd’s accredited provider)
- Forensic accounting including business interruption expertise
- Cyber response
- Managed repair services (Contractor Connection)
- Quantity surveying, forensic engineering & building consultancy (CRD Building Consultants)
