- About the role
- Assistant Curator
- to support the delivery of _HOME 2025_. Since 2016, _HOME_ has highlighted stories of displacement and belonging, showcasing the work of artists from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
- Exhibition Development
- Supporting the planning and execution of _HOME 2025_ and ensuring its relevance to Greater Dandenong's culturally diverse community.
- Program Implementation
- Assisting in the creation of engaging public programs that enhance accessibility and foster community connections.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Building relationships with artists, galleries, cultural institutions, and Council stakeholders to ensure the success of the exhibition and its associated programs.
- Administrative Support
- Providing essential support to the Curator, including exhibition management, research, copywriting, and identifying fundraising opportunities.
- About you
- Experience in all stages of art exhibitions, with a focus on contemporary visual arts and culture.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building collaborative relationships.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management systems.
- A keen eye for detail, particularly in editing and proofreading written materials.
- Proven research skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
