About the Role
We’re seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join a 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Deception Bay. In this role, you’ll provide person-centred care and consistent behavioural support in a stable, respectful environment. You’ll be part of a team that values empathy, professionalism, and strong boundaries.
As permanent part-time team members, you’ll work across a flexible roster including mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends. You’ll be joining a collaborative group that prioritises communication, reliability, and creating a safe, empowering home for the people we support.
What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting with personal care, housekeeping, and daily living tasks

Supporting mealtime routines and dietary needs, including PEG feeding

Administering medication in line with care plans and training

Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship

Supporting community access and engagement

Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies

Maintaining accurate documentation and reports
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting people with complex behaviours and higher-intensity needs

A solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices

The ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively
-
Flexibility to work sleepover shifts and adapt to changing support needs

A proactive, resilient approach with a strong focus on safety and wellbeing
-
Someone who is reliable, emotionally aware, and confident in maintaining professional boundaries
