About the Role

We’re seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join a 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Deception Bay. In this role, you’ll provide person-centred care and consistent behavioural support in a stable, respectful environment. You’ll be part of a team that values empathy, professionalism, and strong boundaries.

As permanent part-time team members, you’ll work across a flexible roster including mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends. You’ll be joining a collaborative group that prioritises communication, reliability, and creating a safe, empowering home for the people we support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with personal care, housekeeping, and daily living tasks

• Supporting mealtime routines and dietary needs, including PEG feeding

• Administering medication in line with care plans and training

• Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship

• Supporting community access and engagement

• Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies

• Maintaining accurate documentation and reports

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting people with complex behaviours and higher-intensity needs

• A solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices

• The ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively

• Flexibility to work sleepover shifts and adapt to changing support needs

• A proactive, resilient approach with a strong focus on safety and wellbeing

• Someone who is reliable, emotionally aware, and confident in maintaining professional boundaries

Essential Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence (P2 or open)

• First Aid and CPR

• NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)

• QLD Blue Card
