This established group, consisting of 4 Inspectors and 1 Manager, is known for its diverse skill set in enforcement and compliance, with a strong emphasis on conflict resolution and creative problem-solving.
We value the unique perspectives each member brings, contributing to a collaborative environment that plays a crucial role in maintaining fairness in horse racing across B.C.In this role, you'll be responsible for enforcing the rules set out by the Gaming Control Act, conducting breathalyzer and drug tests, and performing inspections of barns and vehicles.
Your work directly impacts the public by ensuring that horse racing remains fair and well-regulated, giving people confidence in the integrity of the sport.

- Diploma in a related discipline such as administrative law, investigation and enforcement, or criminology OR
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) and certification or equivalent in a related discipline such as administrative law, investigation and enforcement, or criminology.
- Related experience in a compliance and enforcement environment planning and conducting inspections, interviews and investigations.
- Related experience includes a combination of the following :
- Audit, education, risk, legal, investigations, ethics and policy developmentPreference may be given to applicants with :
- Related experience working in a federal, provincial or municipal governmental regulatory environment.
