This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.The role : An exciting opportunity exists for a Water Resource Officer to join our Water Modelling team, providing the business with timely insights and advice on the Snowy Scheme's water resources to maximise business outcomes through the optimisation of physical, commercial and regulatory constraints.Your key responsibilities in this role will include : Operate and maintain daily, monthly and annual water accounting applications.Operational simulation modelling and insights.Quality control and assurance of input and output data.Ongoing research and development to improve business applications.Provide strategic direction for development of the hydrometric network.Identify improvement opportunities, develop business case and specify potential application upgrades, with a focus on automation and improving real-time data quality.We're looking for someone with : Relevant tertiary qualifications eg. B. Engineering, Science, Environment.Exposure to water engineering including applied hydrology and hydraulic engineering.An understanding of hydro power operational, hydrological and meteorological processes.Understanding of water modelling practices with demonstrated programming skills an advantage.Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.Strong communication skills, verbal and written.Exposure to project management would be an advantage but not essential.If you feel that you have what we're looking for, please apply now!#J-18808-Ljbffr
