Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for continuous safe and reliable operation at Port Botany.
What you will enjoy doing Organize and complete routine maintenance of electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic instrumentation and mechanical equipment. Diagnosis and repair of mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment faults You will achieve safe, efficient, and reliable operation by meeting key performance indicators (KPI's) defined together with the Manager whilst working effectively with the local team to coordinate activities e.g. on call requirements and maintenance vs production activities In addition, your position is responsible for cost, planning and improvement initiatives that align with Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) principles Furthermore, leading a skilled team you supervise the execution of turnaround work, contactors and support the contractor review process Critical to success, will be aligning with the spirit and intent of the Linde business strategy as well as developing an asset maintenance philosophy with both condition and time-based strategies After hours responsibilities are also shared with other personnel to support plant Failure and Extended Maintenance as planned What makes you great You possess an Electrical / Instrumentation Trade qualification as a minimum Hold a full electrical license 3 - 5 years' experience in a related process plant operations or reliability activity within an Hazardous area with a High Voltage ticket - highly regarded Thorough understanding of modern field instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), including process control software programming. Industrial Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) experience is required for this role You have experience planning and are familiar with work pack generation Further you have experience using computerized maintenance management systems. Familiarity with PID diagrams, logic and control loop diagrams You have intermediate knowledge of ASU, LNG, VPSA and CO2 plants including the associated hazards Your analytical and execution skills give you the ability to make sound decisions under pressure Furthermore, you possess excellent communication and People management skills Why you will love working with us At Linde we identify ourselves with our products – either working for the technical or medical gases business.
