About The Role

Due to growth, an engaging and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal to join our Insurance & Health team in Brisbane. You’ll work with a team of specialists in their field headed up by Peter Murdoch and Megan Daniel – principals who are committed to empowering and supporting you. Duties of this role will include:

• reviewing and summarising medical records, reports and disclosure
• preparing lists of documents
• preparing briefs to Counsel
• drafting court documents, letters of instruction to experts (liability and medical) and the like
• adhering to client service standards
• managing a variety of tasks between various fee‑earners
• maintaining filing systems
• conducting legal research and analysis
• general administrative support

About You

If the following sounds like you, we would love to hear from you:

• you have previous experience as a paralegal, ideally within the defendant insurance and/or plaintiff personal injury space
• you possess the proven ability to meet daily chargeable hour targets
• you have experience using precedents, practice management systems, billing platforms and document management systems
• you have an enthusiastic and proactive approach to work
• you have strong communication skills
