Located in Essendon Fields at Bombardier Aerospace Australia, Melbourne's Service Centre, we are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical, working Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 am - 3 : 06 pm. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will : Adhere to Bombardier's MOP, including relevant parts of the MOE and applicable work instructions. Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work safely and in a timely manner. Perform and document work according to approved maintenance data (e.g., Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, AD, SB). Identify defective aircraft components using the Material Return Form. Order parts in SAP. Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks to the standards specified in the Approved Maintenance Data under supervision, and notify supervisors of defects or discrepancies requiring rectification. Properly process removed, uninstalled, and rejected parts. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with all airworthiness and regulatory requirements under supervision. Use standard tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts; operate ground support equipment. Interpret engineering drawings and provide accurate reports to Bombardier engineering when required. Report hazards, incidents, and occurrences promptly to ensure safety, security, and quality. How to thrive in this role? Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years' post-apprenticeship aircraft maintenance experience : Possesses an aircraft maintenance qualification (Certificate IV Aeroskills). Has working knowledge of Part-42, Part-145, and an up-to-date understanding of Part-66 requirements. Can obtain and maintain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card). Use standard tools, special tools, and ground support equipment effectively.
Work in accordance with maintenance data and notify responsible personnel of defects or mistakes requiring correction to maintain standards.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment medical, AOD screening (adhering to DAMP policy), and police checks.
