Salary: $113,934 – $134,824 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the Area
The Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences offers a three-year postgraduate professional doctorate of Optometry as well as Higher Degree by Research options.
The UWA Doctor of Optometry Program aims to graduate socially accountable optometry professionals (clinicians and researchers) who are lifelong learners committed to delivering culturally safe and responsive, person‑centred care, meeting individual and societal health care needs and improving health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic and clinical teaching at UWA affiliated eye clinics.
- Deliver quality teaching and module coordination in Optometry and actively participate in developing the Department’s teaching strategy.
- Undertake clinic supervision and actively participate in the development of the Optometry clinical teaching strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant undergraduate degree in optometry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or commitment to teaching in a university environment.
- Demonstrated ability to administer and coordinate academic units and programs in teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with flexible teaching methods, such as case‑enhanced learning and e‑learning.
