Design & build Oracle Databases
Oracle standalone
Oracle RAC
Oracle ADG
Golden Gate is added advantage
Design & build MySQL Databases
Standalone
Master Slave configuration
Design & build Microsoft SQL Databases
Standalone
AlwaysOn
Replication or Logshipping
Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre knowledge
HawkEye Monitoring tool knowledge
Develop and maintain system documentation related to the database configuration
Perform Patch & release management
Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity
React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriate
Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system
Knowledge of following Operating System environments
Redhat/Oracle Linux
IBM AIX
Oracle Solaris
Windows Servers
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
The position requires:
Proven ability to deliver results as required within specific time frames.
Ability to work within a team in a cross cultural environment.
Ability to work after hours.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The position requires:
5 - 7 years of experience as Database Admin on Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL.
Formal IT related qualifications.
