An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic individual with experience in quality improvement and management to join our team.

Step into a pivotal role reporting to the Director of Nursing and drive the implementation and monitoring of Northpark and La Trobe’s clinical safety and quality framework, bringing a future-focused, can-do mindset that inspires growth and learning across both sites.

You will lead the coordination of quality improvement initiatives, projects and activities to maintain patient safety, accreditation standards, regulatory compliance and patient experience, in accordance Healthscope Safe Values: We care. We do. We Strive. We're a team.

As a Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Facilitate ongoing implementation and monitoring of the Hospital wide quality improvement program and to promote risk management to support the strategic direction
  • Lead all accreditation processes
  • Provide effective leadership in quality and risk management to assist Managers to continuously review their practices
  • Participation in clinical data collection, collation and analysis
  • Participate and coordinate case review investigations
  • Coach and consult with Managers in continuous improvement in order to build capacity and capability

Two hospitals with 1 vision. Northpark Private is a 129-bed hospital located in the rapidly developing Northern Corridor of Melbourne and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. We specialise in Mental Health Services including general psychiatry, older persons and early parenting support as well as Obstetrics and Surgical Services. La Trobe Private Hospital located 3.5 kms away from Northpark is a, La Trobe has 4 operating theatres, day surgery, inpatient unit and consulting suites.

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in clinical discipline such as nursing, midwifery or allied health, with AHPRA registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in quality, risk, health, leadership or similar (desirable).
  • Proven track record in effectively implementing organisational wide initiatives, with significant experience influencing teams in building a quality improvement culture.
  • Experience in quality improvement, risk management and clinical governance in a healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of NSQHS and accreditation frameworks (ACHS/ISO).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication (written and verbal), including policy/procedure development.
  • Data-informed approach and confident facilitator/educator; proficient with Microsoft Office and quality/risk systems with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and openness to new ideas, well-developed problem-solving skills.
