Where the team fits in T he Corporate Development team assists REA Group and its business units to develop, define and evolve their partnership and inorganic growth strategies to meet the overall Group's aspiration of profitable growth. Key responsibilities of the team include identifying, assessing and executing potential corporate transactions, negotiating strategic partnerships and commercial arrangements, and assisting in the management of REA's associate investments.
What the role is all about You will play a hands-on role in the assessment and execution of corporate investment activity including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and strategic investments and commercial partnerships.
Be a leader within REA's Corporate Development team and contribute to the development and execution of the corporate development strategy
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to REA's senior leadership and the Executive Leadership Team
Lead a small team of Corporate Development executives
Serve as a trusted partner to business units by supporting the achievement of their financial and strategic objectives through the execution of M&A and commercial partnerships
Conduct industry analysis, competitor monitoring, and market scans to inform corporate development activity.
Lead the end-to-end execution of corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships
Independently manage work streams including financial analysis, financial modelling and valuations, due diligence, synergy assessment, transaction negotiations, preparation of transaction documentation and support integration planning
Prepare and present materials to obtain internal approvals and Board-level support
Coordinate with external advisers (legal, accounting, corporate advisory)
Oversee performance reviews and portfolio management of existing investments and partnerships
Who we're looking for Extensive experience in investment banking, corporate advisory, or internal Corporate Development
Experience in the digital or real estate sectors is highly desirable but not necessary
Demonstrated success in leading, structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions and strategic initiatives
Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and commercial evaluation capabilities
Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written
Proven experience collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams
Experience developing and delivering presentations at CEO and Board level
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Capable of independently managing transactions from origination to completion with minimal supervision
