Offer DescriptionFull time fixed term until June 2028Build your research career through global public maternal and child health researchBase Salary $113,400 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate with both English and Bangla language proficiency to join a multidisciplinary team conducting research in perinatal epidemiology. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and dissemination of research related to maternal and newborn health, with a focus on analysing data from a large-scale cluster randomsied controlled trial and establishing a cohort study.
Your key responsibilities will be to : Conduct statistical analyses of perinatal and maternal health data using STATAprepare tables, manuscripts, reports, and presentations for academic and policy audiencesassist with grant applications and ethics submissionsprepare questionnaires using REDcap for a cohort study of heat exposure and pregnancy outcomesmonitor and track data collected in the cohort studycontribute to the implementation and analysis of epidemiological studies and trialscollaborate with national and international partners, including those in South Asia.About you PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, and public healthMaster of Public Healthdemonstrated research experience in perinatal or maternal health epidemiology, particularly public health researchexperience of working in low-income setting particularly South Asiaproficiency in understanding epidemiological concepts and study designsproficiency in statistical analysis using STATAproficiency in REDcapfamiliarity with data management and quality assurance in epidemiological researchexperience working with large datasets from (cluster) randomised trialsstrong publication record relative to career stageproficiency in the Bangla language, both conversational and written, using your preferred forms of communication (eg signing, AAC devices or other formats).Sponsorship / work rights forAustralia Work Rights : you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
