About the role

We're after a proven senior web designer with real commercial experience designing websites that actually work for businesses.

This isn't a junior role dressed up - it's for someone who's mastered their craft (or is well on their way) and can own creative direction with confidence and pace.

You're fast without being sloppy, decisive without being reckless, and you know how to keep projects moving.

This is a full-time position with flexible hybrid working and a genuine 4-day week (Monday–Thursday).

What you'll drive:

Creative direction that transforms client businesses
Visually striking, conversion-focused websites
Clear client communication from concept to launch
Design systems that tell compelling stories

What you'll bring:

5+ years professional web design experience (ideally with agency experience - but not necessary)
Proven ability to guide design vision from concept to completion
Experience directing visual strategy
The ability to transform business challenges into beautiful, functional websites
Speed and decisiveness - you work with urgency without cutting corners

What we're looking for:

Technical skills:

Deep Figma expertise - auto-layouts, components, variants, variables, styles, and design tokens. You should be building scalable, well-structured files, not just pushing pixels around.
Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
Responsive design expertise across devices and breakpoints
Bonus: HTML/CSS and WordPress knowledge
Bonus: Graphic design chops - the occasional social media asset, logo task, or print piece. Nothing heavy, but handy when it comes up
Nice to have: Familiarity with Basecamp or similar project management tools
Nice to have: Comfort with AI design tools and an interest in how AI is reshaping the industry
