About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Business Manager to lead our sales efforts and drive growth across key national accounts, especially with Aldi and in alternate channels.
This is a leadership role within a leading FMCG household brand, requiring a dynamic individual with proven success in national account management and deep understanding of alternate channel accounts.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership : Develop and execute national sales strategies to meet company goals and increase revenue.
Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets; manage category review processes for all categories with key customers.
Key Account Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts, focusing on Emerging, Alternate, and E-commerce channels.
Negotiation & Closing : Negotiate profitable agreements with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Sales Forecasting : Prepare accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Business Development : Conduct market research to identify new customers and market opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with Marketing and Product Development to ensure brand consistency and successful product launches.
Success Factors
5-7 years of National Account Management experience in grocery, with existing relationships with Aldi and knowledge of alternative channels.
Tertiary qualification in Business / Commerce or related field.
Strong relationship-building, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Business acumen with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Ability to handle complexity, detail, and deadlines; process-driven with customer focus.
