Job description

Secondary Science Teacher - Year 7-9
$78,000 - $118,000 annually (in line with years of experience) - Full Time, fixed term

About the Role:

  • Secondary School Science Teacher
  • Full time, fixed term for 2026 school year
  • Commence in Term 2, 2026 - interviews take place ASAP
  • Opportunity to teach Biology

Key duties:

  • Strong understanding of Science curriculum
  • Implement strategies which promote a healthy and positive learning environment
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
  • Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors of Education/Masters of Teaching or equivalent
  • VIT Registration
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Graduate and experienced teachers welcome to apply

  • An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • An ability to create an engaging, educational and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students
