Job Title - Salesforce Developer
Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline (Australian Citizen)
Location: ACT – Onsite
Contract Duration: 6 months + 6‑month extension option
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support ongoing platform enhancements, system integrations, backlog delivery, and technical uplift across a multi‑cloud Salesforce environment. The role involves hands‑on development, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and support for Agile delivery practices.
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise across Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience Cloud, and Maps, with capability in both declarative configuration and programmatic development. You will work closely with internal digital teams to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities Salesforce Development & Customisation
- Design, build, and implement custom Salesforce solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and optimise declarative features including Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, and Lightning pages.
- Create and maintain custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, record types, and data models.
- Evaluate, configure, and integrate AppExchange products to extend functionality.
System Enhancements & Backlog Delivery
- Action outstanding items from previous releases, including enhancements and adjustments to existing features.
- Develop new functionality in line with platform standards and industry best practices.
Integration & Data Management
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.
- Apply integration patterns ensuring system reliability and data integrity.
- Support data migration activities and troubleshoot data quality issues.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with internal IT and Digital teams for platform governance, technical review, and design alignment.
- Participate in requirements workshops, solution co‑design sessions, and backlog refinement.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Quality Assurance & Deployment
- Conduct unit testing and support UAT processes.
- Use version control (e.g., Git) and deployment tools (Salesforce DX, metadata deploy, CI/CD).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of release management practices.
Security & Compliance
- Apply Salesforce security model including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
- Ensure alignment with organisational security, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Apply accessibility and UX considerations within government‑aligned standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical recommendations to optimise platform performance and usability.
- Stay current with Salesforce enhancements and emerging capabilities.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members where appropriate.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on Salesforce development across Sales, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Maps, and Experience Cloud.
- Strong experience with Salesforce declarative tools.
- In‑depth understanding of Salesforce security model, data architecture, and platform governance.
- Ability to design and implement custom objects, fields, and layouts.
- Experience evaluating and configuring AppExchange products.
- Proficient with Git, Salesforce DX, and deployment/release tools.
- Proven experience in API development and integration patterns.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Veevart.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
- Salesforce Developer certification(s).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.
- Knowledge of Australian Government accessibility standards and UX‑led design.

Casual Loading
