About the Role : As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation of electrical systems in accordance with local building codes & safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the overall process and quality of our projects. You will work with precision and technical expertise to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest quality standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities : Install, test, and maintain a variety of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems, while adhering to project plans and blueprints.Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself, colleagues, and other on-site personnel. Follow all established electrical codes, regulations, and guidelines to prevent accidents and hazards.Run conduit, wire, and cables to connect electrical systems and ensure the proper distribution of power. Install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.Install Cables / cable ladder / brackets / underground conduit systems and install switchgear and distribution systems.Thorough understanding of AS / NZS 3000 and subsidiary standards within.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, identify the root causes of issues, and undertake effective repair & maintenance procedures to minimize downtime.Conduct thorough testing of electrical systems and components using specialized tools and equipment. Perform inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards.Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA / QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.Interpret engineering and detailed drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately.Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked. Provide updates to supervisors and project managers to keep them informed of progress and any potential challenges.Stay up to date with local, state, and national electrical codes, regulations and industry best practices to ensure all work is compliant and of the highest quality.Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers;Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.Qualifications / Certificates :

Certificate III - Electrotechnology Electrician or International EquivalentHLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitationUETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panelQLD Electrical LicenseHigh Risk Work License – WPEWPA - Operate elevated working platform - SL licenseRIIWHS204 Work at Heights competency – (within previous 2 years)Installation And Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas or UEE42622 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – ElectricalConstruction White CardValid Australian Driver's License – C ClassCertification can include : Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical / Electronic TradeCertificate IV in Hazardous Areas - ElectricalInternational Trade Certificate - Australian RecognisedHighly regarded : Experience working in a live brownfield's environment in Oil Refineries / Petro-chemical / Power Stations / LNG, considered advantageousExperience working within LOTO and Permit to Work systems
