We currently have a vacancyfor an Environmental Worker with experience operating a water trucker and sweeper. The ideal candidate will have come preferably from a Metal Recycling space or similar working environment.

Shift : Day Shift Monday to Friday 7am-3pm

Hourly Rate : $43.99 + Super + Overtime Key Responsibilities May Include : Environmental Compliance : Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and company policies within the recycling facility.Site Cleanliness : Operating a sweeper to maintain cleanliness and minimize dust on site.Dust Suppression : Operating a water truck for dust suppression and other site needs.Hazard Management : Identifying and reporting any hazards and safely working around dangerous chemicals and industrial gases.Site Maintenance : Maintaining surrounding work areas and workshops in a clean and safe state.Waste Management : Assisting with the proper handling, segregation, and disposal of various materials and waste products.Permit Systems : Adhering to and managing permit systems, including confined space, hot work, gas testing, isolation tagging, and lockout procedures.Emergency Awareness : Knowledgeable in emergency escape procedures and the use of safety equipment.Inspections : Conducting inspections on plant machinery.Equipment Maintenance : Conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.Skills & Qualifications : Experience operating a sweeper and water truck or similar heavy vehicles.Experience working in high-risk and industrial environments.Skilled in identifying, isolating, and safely working around dangerous chemicals and industrial gases.Competent in adhering to and managing permit systems.Strong commitment to health and safety policies and procedures.Extremely reliable with a strong work ethic.Experience with oxy cutting - favorableRelevant licenses and tickets, including : HR Truck LicenseFull Vehicle LicenseForklift License (desirable)Confined SpaceConstruction White CardIf you are a proactive, safety-conscious individual with a commitment to environmental best practices and the required skills, we encourage you to click apply or call 1300 377 388 !
