Position Details
We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Kitchenhand to join our Palm Lake Resort Bargara team. You will play an essential role in supporting our culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.
This is a Part Time position, working 20 hours per week, working the Tuesday and Thursday dinner service and Wednesday & Friday lunch services.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs/cook with basic food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
- Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of safely and hygienically.
- Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
- Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

- Previous experience working in a kitchen, café, or catering environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
