Job description

Hybrid Working Model – 3 Days Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to play a key role in supporting and enhancing complex, mission-critical network environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on networking professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, driving continuous improvement, and working with cutting-edge networking and security technologies.

You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for maintaining highly available and secure network infrastructure while contributing to network modernisation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
  • Configure, manage, and optimise Cisco networking environments, including routers, switches, wireless technologies, and Nexus platforms.
  • Support network security technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls and related security controls.
  • Plan, review, and implement network changes while ensuring risks are effectively managed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, simplification, and operational enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams to deliver exceptional service outcomes.
  • Contribute to the support and evolution of networks underpinning critical operational and industrial environments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands‑on experience configuring and supporting Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, wireless, and Nexus platforms.
  • Experience with network security solutions such as Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Solid knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, and route redistribution.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise or mission‑critical network environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Highly Regarded Experience

  • Exposure to Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, PLC, or Modbus environments.
  • Experience supporting critical infrastructure, operational technology (OT), or safety‑critical systems.
  • Knowledge of SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, and Cisco ISE.
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure optimisation initiatives.
  • ITIL experience and understanding of service management practices.
  • Cisco and/or Palo Alto certifications.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Why Join?

  • Work with enterprise‑scale and mission‑critical network environments.
  • Gain exposure to advanced networking, security, and automation technologies.
  • Be part of a team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Hybrid working arrangement offering flexibility and work‑life balance.
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on the reliability and performance of critical business systems.
