You’ll work on complex incidents, technical escalations, root‑cause analysis, and network changes that keep services stable and customers supported.

What we offer

  • Performance‑related pay
  • Access to thousands of learning programs so you can level‑up
  • Additional Telstra day off
  • Additional 30% off Telstra products and services
  • Recognition of prior service for recent Defence members; carry over of long service leave to Telstra
  • 4 weeks paid Defence leave for Defence Reserve members
  • Day‑shift role, five days on site, with an on‑call rotation of around one week every two months

What you’ll do

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network incidents and problems
  • Implement large‑scale network changes in line with customer and change management processes
  • CIP pre‑reviews

  • Provide technical escalation support to Level3 Engineers within the DNOC
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for internal and customer stakeholders

  • NV1 security clearance (mandatory) – bonus points for NV2
  • Strong understanding and some hands‑on experience in core routing/switching and data communication
  • Practical experience with VLANs, Spanning‑Tree, wireless technologies, and WAN/BAN routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
  • Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Nortel, or Avaya networking products
  • Bonus points for CCNA – ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification
  • Defence or enterprise ICT environment experience
  • Candidates must hold an active current Defence clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain a minimum Australian Government NV1 security clearance.
