About the Role This firm is renowned as one of Australia's top real estate law practices, with a particular expertise in advising major property owners and developers on high-value, strategic transactions and development projects. They deliver integrated services through a consolidated practice spanning real estate, construction, and planning across residential, retail, commercial, and industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will work closely with a Partner and their team to advise on property and development transactions, especially those involving government-led projects, commercial and industrial properties, and large-scale development initiatives. The team handles a diverse array of matters including property acquisitions and sales, development agreements, major leasing, tenure issues, and property aspects of large projects and financings.

Candidate Profile This opportunity is suitable for an Associate with 3-5 years of post-admission experience, possessing a broad property skill set. The role offers a balanced environment where quality work and varied responsibilities are prioritised, without sacrificing work-life harmony. Responsibilities include both individual task management and collaborative team efforts.

While guidance from experienced professionals is available, the successful candidate should demonstrate initiative and possess strong client relationship skills. There are also opportunities for ongoing training and professional development led by senior lawyers and industry experts.

Demonstrated experience in a wide range of property transactions, with a preference for those with property development or major project experience

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly

Capable of mentoring junior team members and managing matter quality

Curious about clients' industries with the ability to develop industry knowledge rapidly

Excellent time management skills and proactive priority management within a team

Collaborative and solutions-focused working style
