We have a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our highly regarded not-for-profit 90-bed and 60-bed Residential facilities. The Part time role includes providing high quality nutritionally balanced food to residents, menu planning, food preparation, ensuring compliance with OHS and food safety, day-to-day supervision of kitchen staff.
About you
Diploma in Commercial CookeryFood Safety Supervisor course (or equivalent)Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen services in Aged CareDemonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, implement, evaluate and revise food service deliveryA practical understanding of catering and nutrition needs of older adults in residential careAbility to communicate effectively in written and spoken EnglishThe ability to lead by example and manage a small teamUnderstanding of and ability to support compliance with OH&S and Residential Aged Care StandardsFamiliarity with basic computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Word, ExcelCatering experience in a health serviceCurrent NDIS screener checkCOVID Vaccination or valid medical exemptionBenefits
