About Our Client

Our Client produces some of the world's highest quality thermal coal as well as semi-soft metallurgical coal for export based at a mine site near Singleton NSW. This position would be working within the Infrastructure Team.

About the role

Workpac are seeking an Experienced Plant Mechanic to join a Dynamic Infrastructure Team with our Client based just outside Singleton in the Hunter Valley. Successful candidates will be working 10 hour day shifts on a Monday to Thursday / Tuesday to Friday alternating roster giving you a four day weekend every second weekend.

What you will be doing

On-site workshop role completing maintenance, repair and servicing on fixed and stationery mining equipment such as:

• 4, 6 & 8 cylinder diesel engines such as Caterpillar, Cummins and Perkins.
• Dewatering pumps engineered for mining
• Fixing and maintaining hydrocarbon facilities
• Fixing generator sets

What you will need

• 1 Year minimum in a similar role in a mine site workshop
• Mobile Plant Technology Trade Qualification
• Current Manual Drivers Licence with reliable transport
• Must have previous pump experience - diagnostic skills
• Forklift, Dogging, Confined Spaces, Working at Height and High Risk license
