Overview

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026.

The Role

We are seeking a teacher who believes they can unlock the learning potential in every student, uses evidence-based and highly effective teaching strategies, and demonstrates commitment to continuous growth through reflective practice. The successful applicant will provide differentiated, relevant learning opportunities that cater to the diverse needs, strengths, and backgrounds of all students.

The successful applicant would be committed to delivering Design and Technologies courses across Wood, Metals, and Engineering from Years 7 to 12. The ability to teach Certificate II in Engineering is desirable.

Our Technologies facilities have undergone a rejuvenation as part of the redevelopment program, including new contemporary workshops for metalwork, woodwork, and digital technologies. The learning area is fully resourced and supported by a Design and Technologies Technical Support Officer to help prepare materials and resources for lessons and maintain machinery and facilities.

The successful applicant would join a progressive and collaborative Technologies team that fulfills an active role in whole-school program implementation. They would contribute positively to team environments, build effective relationships with colleagues, students and families, and support a culture of professional growth and shared responsibility for student success.

Eligibility

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start
