The Opportunity

As Commercial & Regulatory Specialist, you’ll :

  • Work closely with legal, finance, operations, and executives to ensure outcomes are commercially sound and compliant.
  • Support or participate in negotiations and arbitration processes involving major customers and regulators.
  • Help design and refine commercial frameworks and business processes in response to new regulatory obligations.
  • Build strong, credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders , including government and customers.

You’re commercially sharp, people-oriented, and thrive where business strategy meets regulation. You understand how commercial, legal, and governance considerations intersect — and you know how to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

    You’ll likely bring :

  • A degree in Commerce, Law, Economics, or a related field .
  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial, contracts, or regulatory role (ideally in rail, utilities, energy, or infrastructure).
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation experience.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills — able to interpret codes, policies, and commercial frameworks.
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Why This Role

  • Be part of a newly formed commercial & regulatory function shaping how a major network operator manages access and customer relationships.
  • Gain high visibility with executive leadership and exposure to multi-million-dollar commercial decisions.
  • Join a collaborative, down-to-earth team with a strong culture of internal progression and development.
  • Enjoy a varied role spanning strategy, negotiation, and compliance — no two weeks are the same.
  • If you’re a commercially minded professional who enjoys strategic problem-solving and stakeholder engagement within regulated industries, this is a career-defining role with impact, visibility, and growth potential.
