About the Role :

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to join our dynamic, family-owned business. We specialise in civil construction, infrastructure projects, and subdivisions, delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients. As a key leader in our team, you will champion health, safety, and environment, ensuring compliance while fostering a culture of safety excellence.

This role requires someone with big-company experience who can enhance our already robust systems, processes, and provide leadership to a business that values its people and operates with a close-knit, family-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with industry practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with project teams to drive compliance and safety awareness at all levels.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on all HSE matters, applying a flexible and practical approach to assist operations in delivering projects efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Environmental legislation.
  • Manage training to ensure employees are trained, competent, and authorised to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Maintain reporting, documentation, and performance metrics to track HSE improvements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and investigations, ensuring continuous improvement in safety performance.

About You :

  • Proven experience as an HSE Manager in civil construction, infrastructure, or subdivisions.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience implementing safety systems and cultural change initiatives.
  • Ability to influence and engage with employees at all levels, from site teams to senior management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in a family-owned business environment while bringing big-company expertise.
