Specific Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and inspections for heavy logistics equipment such as Trucks / Trailers, Heavy Forklifts / Reach Stackers & bulk materials handling equipment.
- Maintain fleet paper trail on servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
- Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
- Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
- Complete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer
- Ensure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the maintenance team for record keeping
- Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvement
- Assist other roles for any tasks deemed necessary by management
- Participate in any meetings including any prestart, HSE, maintenance toolbox meetings and
- any other meetings deemed necessary
- Notify Maintenance Supervisor of any defects / damage on all equipment
- Liaise with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled
- Attend Fleet roadside breakdowns as required
- Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
Qualifications and Experience
Mechanical Trade CertificationExperience working with Heavy Duty Diesel EquipmentExperience in a heavy industry transport or mining environmentKey Competencies / Skills
