EMBARK NOWon a deeply rewarding journey as a Support Worker in our Home & Community service across the Hunter/Newcastle Region and experience the satisfaction by supporting your clients to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and thrive in a supportive environment.
Primarily, these positions include community-based one-on-one support where you'll have the opportunity to directly engage with clients and encourage independence by taking them out into the community.
*Note: whilst you will have a primary location during your onboarding (Croudace Bay), these roles will require travel to different clients throughout the region.
Starting as a casual position, CPA encourages progression and there is a pathway to permanent part-time work in the future.
The Role:
Support adults living in CPA group homes to lead rich, independent and empowered lives. Your day-to-day may include:
Encouraging skill-building, independence, and decision-making
Providing respectful support with personal care, mealtimes, medication, and daily routines
Supporting community engagement, social connection and transport (including use of CPA vans & in your own vehicle)
Following person-centred plans with empathy and professionalism
Building positive relationships with our clients.
What You'll Bring:
We are looking for candidates who embody CPA values, are client-focused in their approach to care, and are passionate about the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people with disabilities.
A can-do attitude and growth mindset — you’re open to learning and ready to make a difference
Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred, however your can-do attitude is key!
NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 or above)
Physical capability to support clients with mobility or transfers
Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week (15–20+ hours), ideally including a minimum of 2 Saturdays/month - Available to work shifts between the hours of 9am and 4pm
Comfortable travelling to all locations in the region
