Business Advisory and Tax at Maven Partners

The Opportunity

Maven Partners are partnering with a leading renewable energy organisation to recruit a Tax Accountant for their high-performing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business at the forefront of Australia and New Zealand’s transition to sustainable energy. This role offers the chance to work on large-scale renewable energy projects within a collaborative and innovative environment. You will support tax compliance, planning, and strategy across multiple entities while working alongside experienced finance professionals and external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax filings (income tax, BAS, FBT) for Australian and New Zealand entities
• Assist in developing tax strategies to optimise the organisation’s tax position
• Liaise with external advisors and ensure timely and accurate lodgement of all tax obligations
• Support tax audits, due diligence processes, and compliance with local tax regulations
• Monitor legislative changes in tax law and communicate their impact to stakeholders

Requirements

• Professional qualification (CPA, CA, or CTA)
• 3-5 years working in a large Advisory firm ideally Big 4 or mid-tier or a corporate
• Strong understanding of Australian tax law
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
