The Project

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Safety Advisor to support the Health and Safety function across the Torrens to Darlington Project. Working closely with the Safety Manager, Zone HSE Managers, and project teams, this role plays a key part in fostering a strong, positive safety culture across all work zones.

You’ll be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving WHS systems and initiatives to ensure compliance with project and legislative requirements. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and leading safety excellence in a major infrastructure environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture aligned with the Project’s Values and Behaviours.
• Provide advice, coaching, and coordination of WHS systems, policies, and procedures across all work zones.
• Support the design and delivery of safety programs, initiatives, and training to build capability and drive improvement.
• Maintain and implement the Project’s WHS management plans and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Lead or assist in investigations (including ICAM), incident reviews, and corrective action close-outs.
• Analyse health and safety data, prepare reports, and recommend preventative or improvement measures.
• Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication of safety matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying risks, sharing lessons learned, and promoting best practices
