The role is suitable for experienced practitioners who can work independently and are eager to develop our Allied Health team in NSW. The successful candidate will play a key role in building the NSW speech pathology team and referral network, with remote support from SAL Consulting Speech Pathologists in other states and territories. Additional support will come from our wider multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference by delivering high-quality, person-centred services to clients with diverse needs, from short-term to complex, long-term cases. Responsibilities include :

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing clients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Providing client support through clinic or home-based sessions, training, and resource development
  • Working with low and high-tech AAC devices
  • Our office is located in Pennant Hills. The role requires regular travel within the Sydney metro area and occasional regional travel. Opportunities for interstate or remote projects are available. There is also an option for remote work for administrative tasks and report writing.

    We offer Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) training through SAL Consulting.

    Desired Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Desirable Experience, Interests, and Skills :

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or trauma-related complex needs
  • Experience in communication assessments, treatment planning, and intervention across age groups; Mealtime Management experience
  • Supervision and mentoring experience
  • Due to the nature of our work, applicants must :

  • Hold a current Driver’s Licence
  • Have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these
