We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to oversee the operational management of family violence accommodation and associated programs and services. In this role, you will provide essential operational leadership, utilising your expertise in internal practices, policies, and guidelines. You'll lead a team providing specialist family violence case management, outreach, and afterhours response services, ensuring all practices are child-focused, strength-based, and trauma-informed.

This role will involve supervising, supporting, and guiding the Case Management team through intake / assessment and ongoing case management, making a difference in the lives of those affected by family violence. About the role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Family Violence Team Leader, at our Darwin location. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 7.
You will successfully
Family Violence service management including oversight over a range of internal practices, policies and guidelines, including case management.
Provide high level professional leadership to the workforce and observe best practice management standards as required of The Salvation Army at all levels in service provision.
Programmatic management including oversight of quality and compliance to ensure accreditation standards are met.
Deliver an effective high-quality family violence service with ability to demonstrate that interventions make a difference to the lives of women and children post family violence.
Provide advocacy to support the needs of people seeking services from The Salvation Army and best practice service delivery; including sourcing and attracting grants and tenders to enhance service provision.
You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)
Degree qualification in Social Work or similar qualifications is essential and demonstrated relevant work experience.
Experience in the family violence sector and managing or coordinating residential care settings.
Experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services
Experience working with financial operating budgets and managing staff.
Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate
with relevant agencies in the service sector and the public.
Demonstrated experience in effectively dealing with the impact of trauma.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suit, and utilising Outlook, Excel, Word, and specialised client management record systems.
Experience in identifying, developing, and working in partnership with others.
