About the company / role :

Our Sydney office is recruiting for a Product Development Lead to work within a leading manufacturer providing fresh food product ranges for several different customers including service companies and leading retail chains. The business is a leading Australian company and has a long and stable history with an established footprint in its space. This Product Development Lead will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver NPD projects with agreed customer timelines.

Duties :

Deliver product development projects with agreed timelines
Manage projects through NPD Stage Gate process
Ensure products meet Australian regulations and standards (FSANZ, ACCC & other food compliance requirements)
Complete documentation and product specifications
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure full completion of project life cycle

Skills / experience :

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology and or Food Science or equivalent

Previous experience working in a high care food manufacturing setting with short shelf-life products

Experience working with QSR

Exposure to soups / sauces in a previous role is highly regarded

Proven experience managing projects or customer accounts

Excellent communications and presentation skills

Ability to work in a cross-functional team and build effective relationships

Knowledge of FSANZ, ACCC and other food compliance requirements
