A vacancy exists for an experienced Accounts Officer (full time – office based) to join our Head Office based in Southport.
We’re looking for someone who can balance urgency and high standards, and who relishes in finding solutions when presented with challenges. If the person we’re looking for is you, you might recognise yourself as accurate, organised, efficient, a great people person and enjoys working as part of a team. You’ll be a positive individual who finds satisfaction in ticking things off and getting tasks done.
We want someone with superb written and verbal communication skills and if you’re a Microsoft Office, Xero and MYOB whiz, that’s even better. You may have attained a Certificate, Diploma or Degree and while this would be advantageous, it is not necessary. To fit into the organisation you will definitely be a team player, yet be able to work independently. You'll be able to bring your previous experience and expertise to assist our Finance Manager and Finance Officer with all things payroll and accounts receivable and payable.
Our ideal candidate will be :
An experienced accounts professional with 2-5 years experience processing and coordinating a growing payroll function. “It's big”.
You will be experienced with accounts payable and receivable and have the ability to undertake bank reconciliations.
A working knowledge of the SCHADS and Nurses Awards would be advantageous
Effective communication skills to explain financial information to stakeholders
Demonstrated problem solving abilities and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency in financial software – Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Office applications and preferably experience using a rostering system – we use TRACCS!
Knowledge of Home Care and NDIS claims process would be desirable
A positive, respectful and solution focused attitude especially when managing competing priorities.
The salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Want to make some extra cash?
You will need to be available every 10-12 weeks to participant in our on-call roster.
When you do participate in the weekend on call roster you will be paid an additional $1000 for the weekend. Phone is active Friday 4pm – 8pm, Saturday 6am – 8pm, Sunday 6am -8pm.
Don’t worry, you don’t go on the On Call roster until you are fully settled into your role and is deemed confident!
You’ll be supported by a close-knit, friendly team of about 25 at Head Office. Expect coffee runs, team lunches, Friday drinks, birthday celebrations — and regular visits from Winnie , our resident Frenchie who keeps everyone smiling.
